Wind Turbine, Nottinghamshire (Gazelle WT's)
involved assessing the clients property for suitability for the installation of
a wind turbine allowing for locating the controls & power supplies. Establishing
the incorporation of the system into the existing services and installing the
electrical & control requirements of turbine. Due to the nature of the power
produced by the turbine it was also necessary to modify the end users electrical
demand philosophy to ensure that the power produced by the turbine was used
effectively. This meant instigating a regime for operating the existing demand
requirements during period of high productivity & minimising consumption when
the turbine is not in operation. Consideration was also given to incorporating
an automated system for this purpose to reduce the necessity for manual input.
